Installation

Domain Name

You will need to register a domain name (eg. yoursite.com) with a domain registrar before we can setup your auction site. You can register a domain (including .com.au domains for Australian businesses) at Web City.

Setting your Nameservers

To link your website to our servers, you need to first update the nameservers associated with your domain. The process is slightly different depending on where you registered your domain, however if unsure we recommend getting your web developer to do it for you. Alternatively if you pass on your registrar login details and the domain you wish to use, we can do it for you.

The nameservers need to be set to:

ns1.everydns.net
ns2.everydns.net
ns3.everydns.net (optional)
ns4.everydns.net (optional)

Note that the 3rd and 4th nameservers are optional.

It takes anywhere from a few hours up to 48 for the changes to take effect - this is a process out of our control. In some cases we may provide you a temporary URL during this time so that you can configure your site.

Site Configuration

When you receive your welcome email from us, it will contain a link to a special page on your website.

The purpose of this page is simply for you to create an administrative account. Enter your details by following the on-screen instructions and then press the submit button. This account will have full access to all buying, selling and administrative features so be very careful to choose a strong password that is difficult to guess.

Once you have created your admin account, you will be forwarded to the Site Configuration page.

Complete all the fields on this page to configure your auction website. You can always change any of these settings at a later date by going to dashboard -> configuration.

Additionally the buyers shipping address and contact details are displayed to assist in completing the transaction.

The buyer effectively sees the same information in their "Recent Wins" page, except they have no ability to change the status of the sale. They can however view key dates such as when the item was shipped.
